I’ve loved creating for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Poland, I spent my childhood collecting wildflowers, making handmade holiday cards for family and friends, searching for colorful treasures, and finding inspiration in nature. Creativity has always been my way of seeing the world.
My journey into surface pattern design began after my daughter was born. She was tiny, and finding clothes that fit her—and reflected the style I loved—was nearly impossible. I started sewing her wardrobe but soon realized that the fabrics available all looked the same. The colors, patterns, and designs didn’t speak to me, so I decided to create my own.
That simple decision became Karolina P Designs.
Today, every collection begins with a story. Sometimes it’s inspired by flowers gathered during a walk, the peaceful rhythm of a quiet forest, or the changing seasons. Other times it’s inspired by my family—like my motocross collection, created for my adventurous youngest son, whose fearless curiosity reminds me to always keep exploring and creating.
My artwork combines hand-drawn illustration with digital design, allowing each collection to grow naturally from sketch to finished pattern. I especially love developing coordinating prints, refining color palettes, and watching a collection come together as a complete story.
Whether I’m designing delicate botanicals, playful children’s prints, timeless florals, or whimsical animals, my goal is always the same:
To create artwork that brings warmth, joy, and a little more beauty into everyday life.
I believe every home, every fabric, every notebook, every nursery, and every thoughtfully made product deserve artwork that feels meaningful—because beautiful design isn’t reserved for special occasions. It belongs in the moments we live every day.
When I’m not designing, you’ll usually find me tending my garden, caring for my ever-growing collection of houseplants, baking something sweet, enjoying a good cup of coffee, or listening to music while dreaming up the next collection.
